A little freak out
I just got off the phone with my friend. He said his home got broken into the other day and is pretty upset/angry. He lives only a few streets away from me so now I’m a bit worried, too, that something like this could happen in our neighborhood. We (me and my roommate; I own and he rents a bedroom) don’t have an alarm system or anything and I’m thinking now maybe I should look into home security options just in case. That was one of the things I worried about when I moved out of a highrise downtown into the burbs. In a highrise, we had a doorman who would keep put potential burglars, but now, pretty much anyone who wants to break in can. We do have a big dog, and I hope its barking would deter anyone, but you never know… the burglar might bring a big steak or something to keep the dog occupied. Anyway, learning more about alarm systems and stuff is my mission for the rest of this week.
